This month’s activity has focused on preparations for the 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting, our first educational event of the year. This two day event promises to provide thought provoking sessions and a lively debate around key challenges in the decontamination of medical devices world. Read the March issue of the CSJ to get a great overview of the topics being discussed.

In the January bulletin, Corporate member speaking slots were closed as all places had been booked. Unfortunately one of the speakers has opted out and therefore we have 1 slot available. If you are interested or know of someone that might be, then please contact our treasurer Mike Bowden by sending an email to [email protected]

There is still time to BOOK your place If you haven’t already. We will be closing the bookings on the 26th March so be sure to get in before then and remember if it’s too far to travel why not join the live stream?

If you didn’t get a chance to go to the Autumn study in October 2022 with the theme ‘Is Decontamination Sustainable’ then you may be interested in purchasing the recordings from the day which you can do by clicking this link

What we’re listening to

DeconVersations podcast has a number of interesting conversations to be listened to. It’s great to see the passion and desire to share knowledge and help people in this field develop their understanding and skills. Although this podcast “Trevor Garcia talks about education and the plans for the future workforce”  was recorded in July 2021 it remains as relevant today as it was then.

If you have any recommendations for a good listen please share with us. Send your podcast suggestions to [email protected]

What quote we’re pondering

“Believing it can be, even though it isn’t, so it can be.”

– Emmanuell Acho; “Illogical” ISBN-13 978-1250836441

An example of this is that Richard Bannister believed he could run a mile under 4 minutes where no one had done it before. After he did it others followed…

Where are our beliefs limiting potential developments and improvements in the decontamination world?
