The Central Sterilising Club has introduced a new digital resource designed to bring together key principles and guidance on the decontamination of reusable medical devices.
Developed over several years with input from professional colleagues and contributors across the sector, the manual aims to provide a single, accessible source of information for those working in decontamination and sterile services. The publication is available free of charge through the CSC website and is best viewed digitally, where users can navigate chapters, access references, use thumbnails, add notes, share pages and print selected sections if needed.
The manual has been created as a living document, recognising that practice, technology and guidance continue to evolve. Future updates may reflect emerging topics such as robotics, risk language and new developments in medical device decontamination.
CSC is encouraging users to explore the resource and share feedback, including suggested updates, corrections or areas for future development. This collaborative approach reflects the club’s commitment to openness, shared learning and continuous improvement across the decontamination community.
